New Futurama Season 6 info at tv.msn.comWelcome back people. I'm here because Svip from The Infosphere found some interesting new info. According to tv.msn.com, we have now possible air dates (note the word possible, it means that that info can change) of the first 6+1 episodes, including the plots of 6 of them (confirming the plots of 2 episodes). They also mention a brand new episode:

6acv02 - In-A-Gadda-Da-Leela
[Jun 24th, 2010] - Leela and Zapp Brannigan find themselves stranded on an Eden-like planet.

6acv03 - Attack of the Killer App.
[Jul 1th, 2010] - Fry posts an embarrassing video of Leela online.

6acv04 - Proposition Infinity
[Jul 8th, 2010] - Bender leads a campaign to legalize robosexual marriage between humans and robots.

6acv05 - The Duh-Vinci Code
[Jul 15th, 2010] - The crew races to future Rome to unearth the shocking secret of Leonardo da Vinci.

6acv06 - Lethal Inspection

[Jul 22th 15th, 2010] - Bender learns that he suffers from a mortal manufacturing defect.

6acv07 - The Late Philip J. Fry
[Jul 29th, 2010] - The Professor invents a one-way time machine.

We know "6acv01 - Rebirth" is the 1st episode, and is named as "Untitled". We know the two first episodes will air on June 24th. According to msn, we'll see the last DVD Movie "Into the Wild Green Yonder" first.

As you can see, the plots of "6acv04 - Proposition Infinity" and "6acv07 - The Late Philip J. Fry" that were mentioned before, are now more official (if msn is 100% right).

The episode "6acv06 - Lethal Inspection" is a new one we didn't know earlier, and the air date said July 15th, but i think is a mistake and it could air on July 22th. According to some fans, it could be the new title of the episode "Inspector #5" mentioned in the past.

David X. Cohen - Interview with EW.comI guess there's no break for me, but I'm glad because this is great. David X. Cohen was interviewed by the people from EW.com, and he has mentioned some bigger details about the upcoming episodes (both from season 6 and 7). Here we go with the highlights (bold text + links by me):

61cv01 - Rebirth

"Fry and Leela's relationship has a very bizarre science-fiction twist to it."

"We don't want to get into a rut where they're having a baby and moving away to the suburbs. That would mess up the show to some degree. Without giving too much away, to have their relationship be on-again, off-again is a little more exciting for the ongoing drama of the series."

Interesting. We know that in the end of the last DVD Movie, Into the Wild Green Yonder, Fry and Leela kiss, but Futurama shippers wanted them to start dating. I've always supported the fact that the on-again, off-again plot between Leela and Fry is big part of the series success, so sorry shippers..

6acv02 - In-A-Gadda-Da-Leela

"an episode that was Matt Groening's brainchild, with Zap Brannigan and Leela getting stranded on a Garden of Eden planet."

"[..] he wanted to do that at the starting point of the episode, so we have Zap and Leela stranded on this beautiful Garden of Eden planet and they're naked and wearing fig leaves immediately. It's a little more cartoon flesh than we would have shown in the old days."

Neat. This episode was originated by Matt himself, and also, we get more nudity hahaha!

6acv03 - The Attack of the Killer App.

"We're going to see our versions of Twitter and iPhones in the future, as Fry posts embarrassing videos of Leela online. The difference is, in our version of the iPhone, the iPhone is implanted in your eye. It's a tiny hovering screen in front of you and it's even more annoying than the real iPhone."

Hey! Bender posted naked Leela pictures on the Internet first, but Fry added videos, and I guess he did it by accident. I can see that David finds the iPhone annoying.. haha..

6avc04 - Proposition Infinity

"[..] Bender tries to pass a ballot initiative called Proposition Infinity to legalize robosexual marriage, which is the marriage between a robot and a human."

We know Bender wants to marry Amy in that episode according to previous spoilers from Twitter. I'm 99% sure this episode is the 4th one, since is one of the more "filthy" episodes.

6acv12 - The Mutants Are Revolting

"In our 100th episode special, Mark Mothersbaugh and Devo campaign for mutant rights; Leela's parents are [..] mutant citizens [..] The members of Devo have mutated over the years, and Mark Mothersbaugh helps out in their campaign for equality."

Mark Mothersbaugh and Devo (band) are special guests in this episode. Is kinda fun to know A little more about this episode, that marks the 100th Futurama episode!

6acv07 - The Late Philip J. Fry

"[..] they spend the episode going further and further through all future history trying to find the technology for a backward time machine."

We knew about Fry and The Proffessor going only forward in time, but is interesting to know they will visit a more futuristic world than the year 3000 that we all know and love.

6acv__ - [Unknown Episode Name 2]

"Nixon will be back. We have a whole head-related episode. It's discovered that you get a 'head trip' if you lick one of the heads in the jars. So Fry licks George Washington's head and it sends them off on a Revolutionary War adventure."

Interesting episode, somehow new since we will experiment a "drug" trip of Fry by licking a head-in-a-jar. Perhaps everything in the episode will be the trip, perhaps not.

Special Guests: Their Roles
  • "Craig Ferguson has the most remarkable guest role of the year: He is playing a talking part of Leela's body. We discover that Leela has a little more to her being a mutant than we knew about."

  • "Chris Elliott is playing a very persnickety space probe that goes around censoring things that it thinks are indecent, and he finds nudity both interesting and offensive."

  • "George Takai will be back." (no more info available)

  • "[..] Al Gore will be rejoining us in our environmental-themed holiday episode [airing next season]. He will help explain the future versions of Christmas, Robanukah, and Kwanza, along with Coolio, a natural pairing"

  • "Patton Oswalt will appear in next season, playing a character called Unattractive Giant Monster."

  • "Katee Sackhoff is playing a visitor to Comic-Con who has a fetish for aliens. She threw herself into the role in an impressive fashion."
  • "I would be remiss if I didn't mention the first appearance by David X. Cohen, in the Comic-Con episode. "
"The heads of Matt Groening and
David X. Cohen will appear on a panel of writers for the new show that Matt Groening has created in the Year 3010."
A Comic-Con episode + Leela has a talking part in her body? + Coolio, George Takai, Al Gore, Matt Groening and David X. Cohen themselves. What else can a Futurama fan want! I see that 2 episodes or more that will air next season (Broadcast Season 7)

Finally, One of the bizarre moments on this Futurama season is this one (I think I've seen that before haha):

"[..] a love scene between Dr. Zoidberg and Professor Farnsworth... Of course, it is quite touching in context. And arousing"

One of my biggest updates, but that's it! 30 days more waiting is a looooong time...

Hello people. Is time to feature the latest promo images released by Comedy Central Insider. I'm glad to show you today 2 images from the 3rd Futurama episode of the New Season 6 called "6acv03 - Attack of the Killer App.":

Dismantled Ship. Futurama Season 6, Episode 6acv03 - Attack of the Killing App. Floating screens. Futurama Season 6, Episode 6acv03 - Attack of the Killing App.

In the 1st image shows the Fry, Leela and Bender talking with someone down there, and the rest of people seems to be fixing the PE Spaceship.. but we don't know why the ship was dismantled.

The 2nd image show us the future mobile devices. This time (as it was mentioned in one of the spoilers from season 6) the device is inside the eye, and it seems to show a floating screen with precious content.

This is just a speculation by JavieR: I'm guessing that.. like today, I see people numb by iPhones, BB or other devices, so in the future, we'll see people watching a floating screen instead of the real world.. My guess is that the dependency to those screens made the pe crew crash the spaceship like it was shown in the previous promo image..

Other sketches of this episode where released previously, so if you're curious, check out the source below.

Gulliver's Parabox comic cover by Gulliver63This has been a week of sketches from the people of Comedy Central Insider in the Countdown to Futurama articles. Since you've only seen sketches from them, I've some finished arts from the fans for all of you to enjoy!. Let's start with Gulliver63 and 14 new fanarts. He tries to put the Planet Express Futurama crew in lot of different wild/fun/weird situations: The cover of his project, the parabox comic with Leela and AMy as giants, Leela form many different parabox universes, Amy and Kif with their kids, many parabox versions of Fry, A fun image of Robot Leela as the Terminator of Zapp Brannigan, a Leela Pin-up for Kaspired, scorpion Leela, a fun one of Futurama as the Survivor TV Show, A nice evil Amy with an Electric Guitar and some others.

Rush Moon (Fry and Leela) fanfic promo by archonixI've also added fanart from other different artists, like the great promo image by Graham Dawson (aka archonix) featuring Leela and Fry in new fanfic called "Rush Moon" (and 2 other images that I dunno why I didn't upload ). Other artist here today is Vickram101 and his full version of Himself and Fry. The last image today was created by TheFightingMongooses and features Bender Disco Dancing!

Now I've to go, I'm very tired from a football (soccer) game this afternoon.. enjoy!

Out to eat with Zoidberg by Eric Beck (aka vikung-fu)Hello. Is time to start another update over here, and I'm very glad to welcome back a great artist overe here with a excellent 3D image.. I'm talking about Eric Beck (aka vikung-fu) and his brand new image called "Out To Eat With Zoidberg". In fact, this is an amazing 3D render featuring Dr. John Zoidberg in his casual lunch outside the Planet Express building... but this render has a lot of dedication, from the neat textures on each object, to the small but funny details that you'll enjoy even more if you're a die-hard Futurama fan (if you're not one of us, then welcome) This image must be seen in full size!

Full Metal Jacket (Leela Robot) by KaspiredThe artist with the fanart today is Kaspired (Mike Jessen) with some very interesting images. 9 new ones in different places and situations, like 2 version of Leela (a challenge by someone that said Mike can't draw Futurama characters in the original style), Leela making a boring delivery to 2 OC by antoon, Fry slipping with a banana peel, Leela with Amy and Kif (drawn with chalk), 2 versions of a Hookerbot (one with and other without background). The 2 special ones of today are Kif as the pharaon Kiphenaten and the one featured today of Robot Leela kicking Bender's head, named after Stanley Kubrick's "Full Metal Jacket".

BTW, don't forget to check out the new counter for the New Season 6 on the right of this site in order to be more paranoid about the return of Futurama to Comedy Central in June 24th @ 10pm / 9c.

Hi everyone. Is time for a new update at TFP/slurmed.com, and I've to show you a bunch of neat official promo images released by Comedy Central Insider this week:

Bender Disco Dancing. Futurama Season 6, Episode 6acv01 - Rebirth The End is Near. Futurama Season 6, Episode 6acv02 - In-A-Gadda-Da-Leela Adam and Eve (Zapp and Leela) - Futurama Season 6, Episode 6acv02 - In-A-Gadda-Da-Leela The Transcredible Exploits of Zapp Brannigan - Futurama Season 6, Episode 6acv02 - In-A-Gadda-Da-Leela

The 1st image features Bender Disco Dancing from "6acv01 - Rebirth".. apparently Disco Dancing is possible in the future but I don't think is clool anymore (like it was in the 70s)
The 2nd image featuresis the episode "6acv02 - In-A-Gadda-Da-Leela", and shows the PE crew (but Leela) protesting and kinda crazy (with signs and robes)
The 3rd image is also from "In-A-Gadda-Da-Leela", and features Zapp and Leela as Adam and Eve.. very funny (and disturbing) ..and the best promo so far.
The 4th and last image is a promo card of "The Transcredible Exploits of Zapp Brannigan" that I don't really know what it means..
There's also some clool sketches from "6acv01 - Rebirth" featuring Bender and Fry talking about Mouth-to-Ass re that you can find over here.

In other news, you'll find great nerdy information about Physics and how this affects Futurama in an interview with David X. Cohen made by Alaina G. Levine from APS.org. There's some info about one of the new episodes, 6acv10 - The Prisoner of Benda that says:

"[..] a theorem based on group theory was specifically written (and proven!) by staffer/PhD mathematician Ken Keeler to explain a plot twist. Cohen can't help but chuckle at the irony: his television-writing rule is that entertainment trumps science, but in this special case, a mathematical theorem was penned for the sake of entertainment."

Dont forget to read the rest of the interview.

Zapp Nibbler eating Zapp's head by MissusPatchesTime for a new fan update after the neat news by CC Insider: Countdown to Futurama. This time I bring you 8 new images by a well know artist, the dear MissusPatches. Her images feature different themes and characters, like 2 robots in their Meatback Edition.. Roberto and Tinny Tim. There are also other interesting images: Bender and the Robot Devil in the New Old West, Zoidberg the 'loveable' tramp!, the Robot Devil contemplating... something (awesome lights and colors), Bender drinking Beer with Benny (George Lopez' mom), Zoidberg fighing Owls for food, and the one featured today.. Nibbler biting Zapp's head.. very funny and nicely drawn.

Lord Nibbler by 100lbs-o-futuramaThe other artist that is returning over here today after a while is 100lbs-o-futurama (aka mistertoad). He created many bizarre but very clool version of the Futurama characters, and today is no exception. Check out 3 new images featuring Linda and Morbo (the art is called "The News Monster") and has his neat style. Other image is Lord Nibbler in a kinda heroic/flying pose.. and finally, another version of the Robot Devil, this time with red, gold and silver that give him a stronger look that I'm really enjoying.

Cheers!

Check it out. Comedy central Insider has released the very first real image (framegrab) of Futurama New Season 6 + A new sketch that will appear in the Rebirth episode. Click on the thumbs for the full size images:

Futurama episode 6acv01: Rebirth (Crew Skeletons) Futurama episode 6acv01: Birthing Device sketch by Matt Groening

The first one is the colored version of the "dead" Futurama Crew from the first 3 minutes of footage previously added to this site (presented at the Florida Animation Supercon last year by David X. Cohen). Something that worries me is the 4:3 format instead of the Widescreen 16:9. We did knew that the format of the new Season will be widescreen.. I hope that info is not wrong. Some people say that maybe this image is a joke but I don't think CC Insider would add something fake to the official Comedy Central site.. they said that they will be adding more Futurama stuff from the new seasons.

The second image added on May 6, 2010 is a Birthing device sketch designed by Matt Groening (and neatly cleaned up by a Futurama staff artist) that will appear in episode "6acv01 - Rebirth". The size of the devide is huge, check out the size comparison with Fry! I assume this machine will be used to revive the rest of the Planet Express crew as shown in the first image (tip: look at the bottles in the 2nd image, those are the same that the ones in the 1st image).

If you didn't know neither, you can also ask your questions to the Creators and Voice Cast of Futurama in a news entry from Comedy Central Insider. Some of the interesting questions I found:
  • Joshua: What would happen if you had two ships with the same sort of propulsion as the Planet Express Ship (the ship stays still and moves the universe around it) moving in opposite directions at the same time?
  • Brian: Will Kif & Leela's offspring be brought back into the show? …if not, than what kind of unofficial adventures would you figure their children would have?
  • Alexander: The noise you hear when someone puts the smell-o-scope in their nostrils: how did you guys create it?
  • (new) Cayetana: During the new seasons, will we find out why Nibbler called Leela 'the other' in 'The Why of Fry'?
  • (new) Anders: And are you ever going to make the Gangs of New New York episode?
I made a question too: Are there plans to convert the whole first 72 episodes to HD (I've read that some anime is being converted to HD, not Wide but with HD quality)? If not, when could we get the 2 first movies in Blu-Ray?

Screen Suker Zoidberg wallpaper by Freako (FuturamaFreak1)I'm really sorry for the lack of updates.. I'm as lazy as Scruffy + I've stuf to do. I'm going to start with a neat new Wallpaper created a few days ago by Freako or FuturamaFreak1 that features Dr. Zoidberg sucking a glass previously with food from the Emmy winning episode "Roswell That Ends Well". This one is available in the Widscreen 1680x1050 and Widescreen HD 1680x945 screen resolutions for your enjoyment.. so enjoy (although the image situation is not very enjoyable)

Land of the Giants a Rama by Gulliver83I've some new fanart for you to check out too. Created by Gulliver63, I've added today 10 images he created, featuring different parodies like James Bond and Bounty Hunters, interesting parabox universes like the Amazonian Universe, Superhero Universe, and an evil universe with "Evil Express". There's also his concept of the Lilliput universe that includes 2 nice sketches and one with all the crew and a giant can of Mom's Old Fashioned Robot Oil. Finally, 2 sketches featuring Leela with an energy been, and Amy wearing Sandals (very nice in my opinion).
