Hi people, time for some neat Futurama Fanart, and getting ready for the All New Futurama episode "6acv07 - The late Philip J. Fry" tonight at 10pm/9c on Comedy Central.

Toy-Story-a-rama by Gulliver63I've to start our ride with some great images by Gulliver63. As usual, he has created interesting parodies, like Bender being captured by characters of Futurama, The Simpsons, Family Guy and Scooby Doo, Bander and Leela riding a motorbike, Amy as a klingon scaring Kif, the Futurama crew as Amish people, and the one featured today, ToyStory-a-rama that is a nice parody. There's also Amy in different outfits, some images of the universe of Gulliver's Parabox, and one image of Leela on Amy's world.. making a total of 12 images.

Where no Fan has gone before Planet Express Starship by MrRonsfieldThe other artist today is MrRonsfield with four nice 3D renders. 2 of the images feature the Planet Express building in 2 different angles, one 3D/2D of the Planet Express Starship (like the style the use in the real series) and finally, a 3D of the Planet Express Starship with the engines of the Enterprise from episode "04acv11 - Where no fan has gone before".

Hello everyone. I was not around this past Saturday, and it was the day the Futurama Panel at the San Diego Comic-Con 2010 (SDCC 2010). However, the great guys from Comedy Central Insider, UGO and other sources posted some great info about what was mentioned over there [WARNING: SPOILERS]

This news entry will be updated if I find more info and spoilers from the Futurama panel...
  • They showed a video clip from the upcoming episode "6acv07 - The Late Philip j. Fry" featuring Leela and Hermes running Planet Express in the year 2030, Cubert comforting Leela because Fry disappeared and Zoidberg hanging around Planet Express even when he was fired a long time ago.

  • This great image of the old versions of Leela and Dr. Zoidberg (click for full size) that is obviously related to the clip mentioned. The videos from the newer episodes will be available since this Monday on Comedy Central website:
    Old Leela and Zoidberg

  • The Professor and Amy will switch bodies in one of the new episodes.

  • About the Tales of Interest episode format, there will be two episodes following that format.. but not exactly Tales of Interest (without the Wat If machine). One is the 2010 Xmas episode special, and the other is episode 6acv25, I believe, where Futurama will be animated in 3 different styles.

  • The people behind Guinness World Records awarded the cast and crew of Futurama the world record for current most critically acclaimed animated series.

  • Another clip was shown featuring the Planet Express crew going to Comic-Con 2010. This episode is one final ones produced (I think...), and will feature Matt Groening and David X. Cohen (as head-in-a-jar characters)
The Futurama crew at the Comic-Con 3010

  • There was table read of the beginning of an upcoming episode from the ones that will air in 2011. The episode is called "Benderama" and is the episode where Bender multiplies himself many many times.

  • The video clip of Zoidberg kissing Profesor Farnsworth was also shown (according to CrystalMask) and she said Zoidberg throws himself on top of the Profesor to make out.

  • The Fry & Leela relationship will be featured again in upcoming episodes (good news for the shippers out there)

  • The upcoming episode "6acv07 - The Late Philip J. Fry" about "The Professor inventing a one-way time machine" was one of the episodes Matt wanted to create since the beginning of the series (Remember that when Futurama started, the writes couldn't create scripts with Time Travel, but that was overriden in future episodes like "Roswell that ends well")

I would like to end this entry with some awesome words from the creator of Futurama that really mean a lot for all of us:

"Without the Futurama fans, without their chronic and constant support, we would have given up."
~ Matt Groening

Thanks to the fellows from Comedy Central Insider and MWCToys.com, we have the first Futurama figures directly from the San Diego Comic-Con 2010. The new line of Futurama plushies created by Toynami:

Toynami Futurama figures and plushies at the San Diego Comic-Con 2010 Toynami/Futurama Bender plushie at the San Diego Comic-Con 2010 Toynami/Futurama Zoidberg plushie at the San Diego Comic-Con 2010

As you can see, the image features Bender (hopefully Tickle-me Bender, with sound.. that should be a must!!!), Dr. Zoidberg and Nibbler (the regular one with cape and dippers).

I'm worried about the Bender plushie.. it doesn't look like the Bender doll one of the DVD Movie: Into the Wild Green Yonder (check out the video of the doll). This fan made version of the "Tickle Me Bender" by MysticalDreamer is way better (+ it has sound!)

Also, above the plushies you can see the upcoming action figures from Toynami:

Toynami/Futurama Lrrr figure at the San Diego Comic-Con 2010 Toynami/Futurama Morbo figure at the San Diego Comic-Con 2010 Toynami/Futurama Bender talking figure at the San Diego Comic-Con 2010 Toynami/Futurama URL figure at the San Diego Comic-Con 2010 Toynami/Futurama Wooden Bender figure at the San Diego Comic-Con 2010

The new Figures include a right size Lrrr (that was changed with Amy in Toynami Wave 6), Morbo build-an-alien (as big as Lrrr) and a bigger Bender that apparently talks. Those 3 figures might be available alone, and not as build-a-bout (or alien) figures.. specially not Lrr and Bender in my opinion.

There's also the 2 Wave 11 figures: URL and Wooden Bender that will be available in August/September of 2010.

Fry: Oh the horror! by casebasketHi there. I'm here once again,, and I'm glad to add some new Futurama fanart from the fans. I'm going to start with 2 new images by casebasket. He has created 2 fanarts, one of Fry with a nice between surprised and scared expression, and the other of the lovable Bender. Both images have a kinda cool pop art feeling as you can see in the preview, and hand-colored too, so don't you miss them.

Susan Boil (on Leela's Butt) by FuturamaFreak1 (Freako)Another artist here today is FuturamaFreak1 (or Freako). He created 2 images from the new Futurama season 6. The first one is the Fry-From from episode "6acv01 - Rebirth". The second is a good one, Susan Boil on Leela's butt from episode "6acv03 - Attack of The Killer App." (check the thumbnail!). The 3rd and last artist of today is Graham Dawson (archonix) with an interesting interpretation of a Cyborg Leela from episode "Rebirth"

Don't forget that this Thursday at 10pm/9c. Comedy Central premiers another new episode of Futurama Season 6: "6acv06 - Lethal Inspection" featuring Bender as the main character. Tune in..!!!! Even if you are at the San Diego Comic Con 2010.

Hello. Is nice to hear some good news, and as we speak, TVbytheNumbers.com posted Thursday's Cable Ratings giving the last Futurama episode that aired that day, 6acv05 - The Duh Vinci Code, 2.204 million viewers, that's 200,000 more viewers than last week. Futurama was the 3rd most watched show at 10pm/9c on Thursdays after Burn Notice and Royal Pains.

Futurama cable ratings of 6acv05 - The Duh Vinci Code
Dr. Zoidberg: "My doctorate is in art history"

This is kinda interesting, because with the last 2 episodes aired "6acv04 - Proposition Infinity" and "6acv05 - The Duh Vinci Code", Futurama is feeling better. Hoepfully the next episodes will also have the familiar Futurama feeling. I believe Futurama will stay in the 2.2 million viewers and even stronger if we keep getting nice episodes like the last one. Don't forget to always watch Futurama.. Thursdays at 10pm/9c on Comedy Central (and later at the West Coast).

Amy Wong: Pretty in Pink by Lee RobertsIs time for some nice fanart for all of you to enjoy. I'm gald to add some nice new stuff, specially from a well known artist that has now returned to the game, I'm talking about Lee Roberts. His latest image features Amy Wong when she rebirths from the Birthing Machine in episode "6acv01 - Rebirth". She is covered in that pink placenta (or something like that) and she is accurately Pretty in Pink! That scene is also a great one because it reminds me this great quote:

Amy: (Coming out of the birthing machine) "Ooh, baby soft!"
Farnsworth: (Slaping amy's butt) "Indeed!"

Fry, Leela and Bender from universe 1 by TheFightingMongoosesAnother artist not featured recently are Sof-Sof, with 3 new images, featuring 1 cute image of Fry saying he is the #1, a very big Futurama Comeback meme and a Zapp chibi images. The last one of today is TheFightingMongooses and I've 2 nice fanarts from him, one with Bender about the leaked Futurama episodes, and the other one features Leela, Fry and Bender... but from Universe 1, remember, from the great episode "The Farnsworth Parabox"!

Futurama Season 6 Cable Ratings (first 4 episodes)As we know, 4 episodes of the new Futurama Season 6 have aired at Comedy Central since June 24th, 2010 @ 10pm/9c, and so far, these are the Cable Ratings of those episodes:
As you can see, it seems that Futurama has settled with 2 million viewers. According to some sources, the rating settles in the 3rd episode of a season, in this case, it should be 2.1 million viewers. The hype of the premiere of Season 6 (2.9 million viewers) ended as the 2nd best one for Comedy Central on Thursdays (just behind South Park)

In the last episode aired this past Thursday, Futurama got only 2 million viewers, but it was the same night than "LeBron James: The Decision" with 9.948 million viewers, so I blame LeBron, because episode Proposition Infinity was even better than Attack of the Killer App in my opinion.

I believe the 2 million viewers barrier that can be broken. even with the LeBron special that night, Futurama managed to keep strong. Now, I've seen many old fans complaining about the silly jokes, out of character performances, so-so voice acting, "not like old futurama" statements.. all that is not helping, you've to let the series experiment a little, expand the horizons and reach more audiences. I know is a smart comedy, but as we all know, Futurama grows in you with time, because all of the secondary or hidden jokes that you've to discover on each repeat. Stop being radicals and enjoy the New Futurama after all these years.

With 2 millions viewers every Thursday at 10 pm, and even more if we can promote the new season more, there's a chance that Comedy Central can pick up a new season after the 26 episodes (remember, half of Season 6 will air in 2011). I would like to hear that after the first 12 episodes air this 2010, Comedy Central already decided to order new Futurama episodes... I believe that's the main objective!

Futurama Pop Up art (Closeup) by KaspiredI'm here with a casual TFP update why not, is time to show you what the fans are creating now that Futurama is back on track. The first artist around here again is Kaspired (Mike Jessen) with some interesting fanart featuring Amy as a Terminatress (inspired by episode "6acv01 - Rebirth") , Bender disguised as a Fembot from the last DVD movie, Into the Wild Green Yonder and finaly.. the main crew figures for a pop-up art (that I'll explain that later). Now as you can see in the thumb, that's Pop Up art made by Kaspired and addded to Kaspired's Photorama page, it features the PE crew drawn before but with a nice background.. made because of the series return!

Roberto threatenig Fry by Misty WatersThere's also a new fan artist today, she is Misty (Waters) and I've added 8 of her fanarts. You'll find many different situations like a sketch of Fry and Bender watching Leela with a random guy, Zapp, Roberto threatening Fry, Leela and Fry in a romantic scene... but she's also fan of Yaoi, so don't be surprised with fanarts couples like Fry and Zapp, Fry and Zoidberg or Bender and Fry (talking about Robosexual stuff in the lest Futurama episode).

Enjoy! I'm off to watch the World Cup final.

Welcome back people. If you didn't saw the last Futurama episode, "6acv04 - Proposition Infinity", do not miss it, is the best one so far. It has a more-like-old-Futurama feel and many one-line solid jokes. Of course, some people perhaps will find it offensive because of more explicit content and robosexual (gay) themes (that somehow are still taboo for some folks).

That's not why I'm here for, I'm here to show you the Futurama/Toynami exclusive for the San Diego Comic Con 2010, and is of course the long time wanted, Nibbler Plushie (click the image for full size):

Nibbler Plushie, Futurama/Toynami exclusive for the San Diego Comic Con 2010

It features his cute shinny Space Suit, and is limited to 500 units (obviously it will be sold only at the SDCC 2010) I would buy one, but I'm to far away from San Diego. Many people believe Toynami will later release a regular Nibbler plushie with Cape/Diaper, but we will have to wait as usual..

The second one is called "No on Infinity":

I'm very sorry if you can not watch these video previews in your country.

Hi. I know I'm kinda late, but I really enjoyed the 3rd Futurama episode of Season 6, "6acv03 - Attack of the Killer App." because it has clever jokes about Twitter and the iPhone (like a fan said, it puts both in an interesting perspective), and because it felt stronger than the previous 2 episodes somehow (i dunno, somehow i think this episode still feels a little crowded, but getting better). If you want to see clips from that episode go to the Comedy Central: Futurama videos page.

I'm here today to give you some new fan stuff, featuring the return of the series. First, I'm gonna start with this amazing new Wallpaper by Bman2006 featuring the Robot Devil. Another great 3D image that he created because the series are back!

Realistic 3D Robot Devil wallpaper by Bman2006

This image has amazing details, like the previous render of Bender he made, this is a very realistic take, specially with the eyes, horns, other little details and specially the stuff added to the original, including a great looking pentagram over the robot chassis and the speaker inside his mouth. I've added this one in the more common resolutions: Full HD 16:9 (1920x1080 px), Fullscreen (1600x1200) and Widescreen 16:10 (1920x1200). Enjoy!
