Leela as Wonder Woman by mej073 Hi again. Sorry for not updating sooner. I've some nice fanart from 2 new artists today. I would like to start with a guy named mej073. He has created some neat Futurama images featuring the girls of the series, Leela, Amy and LaBarbara. You'll find nice crossovers of Leela as Chun Lee (from Street Fighter), Leela in a corset and in a nice dress, a LaBarbara image in a red kinky outfit, 3 images of Leela as a maid, Amy as maid too, another Leela and Amy images in sexy outfits, Leela as Ana Miller, Leela as Silk Spectre and finally, Leela as Wonder Woman. His images were even featured in a official Comedy Central Insider entry..

Future Romance (Fry & Leela) by aikoshadow The other artist of the day is aikoshadow, she is from México and she created some nice Futurama images. There's a couple of Leela and Fry shippy images (like the one featured today), one of Amy and Kif (also a shippy one), a Laila & Sam.. two of original characters, herself in a head-in-a-jar style, and a cute image of Leela and Fry as new parents of a cute baby.

I'm really behind updating fanart and other fan stuff, I've no other reasons than being lazy and sometimes very tired of my work, but I'll keep TFP updated! Bye!

Is time for a new update at TFP, and I've a neat surprise for you. Bman2006 has created another neat wallpaper (you might remember him for the 3D Bender and Robot Devil wallpapers). Today, I've uploaded his version of a 3D Tinny Tim outside the Planet Express building, selling oil-ade and the newspaper:

Tinny Tim (Oil-lade) wallpaper by Bman2006

I have to say that this image has great modeling and details, like Tinny's teeth made of two very small lightbulbs, or the background of the Planet Express building with real bricks. I've added the usual Widescreen, Fullscreen and Full HD resolutions.

Cold Rocks (Amy Wong) by KaspiredThe fanart of the day was created by 2 artists. First, Kaspired with 9 images, four of them created for a Fanfic called Granny Turanga (wrote by Gulliver63), that feature different stuff of the fanfic. There's also 2 images from famous arts: Scruffy inspired by Picasso and Leela inspired by Absolut. A really cute Leela made in a trip, and 2 awesome nude arts of Morgan Proctor  and Amy Wong (based in Vaughn Bode Babes).

The other artist is Tastes-Like-Fry with 2 fanarts, one featuring Bender singing "Don't worry, Bee Happy" from the episode "The Sting", and the other is a realistic version of Leela and Fry in a shippy way. Enjoy!

Futurama Wave 10, 11 and Deluxe figures by ToynamiCheck out the Toynami/Futurama San Diego Comic Con 2011 exclusive figures: Destructor Mega Figure, Robot Devil plush and the Futurama Tineez: Angry Bender

This is great. Thanks to jabalong at PEEL, we have info about the upcoming Futurama / Toynami figures. The next series of figures are really great:
  • Wave/Series 10: The Clamps and Joey Mousepad (May, 2011)*
  • Wave/Series 11: The Donbot and Flexo (September, 2011)*
  • Deluxe Figures:
    • Lrrr (Spring 2011)*
    • Morbo (Spring 2011)*
    • Destructor
  • Chibi Figures: Robot Devil, Bender and Zoidberg
(* Estimated release date)

Toynami / Futurama - Wave 10: The Clamps Toynami / Futurama - Wave 10: Joey Mousepad Toynami / Futurama - Wave 11: Flexo and The Donbot

As you can see, the figures look great. I really like the Robot Mafia figures to be regular ones! Flexo is just Bender with a beard, I would have preferred another character like Wernstrum or Tinny Tim.

Toynami / Futurama - Deluxe figures: Morbo Toynami / Futurama - Deluxe figures: Lrrr Toynami / Futurama - Deluxe figures: Destructor

The deluxe figures look great also. We had some previous info about Morbo and a preview, but now we have also Lrrr and the amazingly big Destructor, that is huge (I don't know how I'm gonna get that one). All the deluxe edition figures have the correct size compared to the normal figures.

There's also a pic of a chibi version of the Robot Devil, Bender and Zoidberg, that look like a competition to the Kidrobot Futurama series. There's also more photos of the Futurama plushies and also of the Talking Bender at Figures.com

Random Fry Comic by SuperPrincessPinkHi people. Sorry for the delay updating the site. I'm glad to start with a nice comic created by SuperPrincessPink (aka Jenny) featuring de 2-headed Fry in a 1 page comic called: Random Fry Comic!

I've also added 8 new images also created by SuperPrincessPink that feature mostly the double-headed Fry she created.. with a light saber, kissing, laughing, sleeping and some more. There's also 2 Frys huging and a single Fry laying.

The Card Sharp (Futurama version) by Gulliver63Gulliver63 is also around here with new fanart! As usual, he has created some great crossover images with the Futurama characters, like Klingon Kif or Cyborg Morgan Proctor (from Star Trek: New generation), 2 other versions of Morgan as a robot and in a red dress, a painting "The Card Sharp" (by Georges de La Tour) with Futurama characters, Ameela (Leela's head on Amy's shoulder), The Statue of Leela (Liberty), a korean version of Amy in a traditional dress, a cyclops fashion magazine featuring Leela and some others more.

He also created a 1 page comic, and Gulliver63 decided to mix it with Tron, and of course is called: Tron-o-rama! Check it out!

I almost forgot to mention that this year, Futurama sadly didn't get any Annie Awards.

The Prisoner of Benda from Ken Keeler won an WGA AwardFirst award of the night and of the Year 2011. Futurama has his first Writers Guild of America award thanks to Ken Keeler and the episode he wrote, "The Prisoner of Benda", in the category of Animation - Any Length - One Airing Time.

Futurama had a double chance to win this award because Patric M. Verrone was also nominated in the same category with his episode "Lrrreconcilable Ndndifferences". Both episodes are from the last Futurama season, but in the end, Ken's episode was superior in my opinion.

Futurama's rival were The Simpsons (also with 2 nominations) and Back at the Barnyard, here is the full list of nominated episodes, the winner in bold text:
  • "Lrrreconcilable Ndndifferences" (Futurama), Written by Patric M. Verrone; Comedy Central
  • "Moe Letter Blues" (The Simpsons), Written by Stephanie Gillis; Fox
  • "O Brother, Where Bart Thou?" (The Simpsons), Written by Matt Selman; Fox
  • "The Prisoner of Benda" (Futurama), Written by Ken Keeler; Comedy Central
  • "Treasure Hunt" (Back at the Barnyard), Written by Tom Sheppard; Nickelodeon
Congrats to Ken Keleer! That show us that we only have to solve a math theorem and use it in an awesome show to win that award =D

Later tonight, Futurama can also won 2 Annie Awards! Check @slurmed for live info about it.

More Futurama in 2012?Some important news, still a rumor, but apparently Futurama could be renewed for a New Season in 2012, that means new episodes besides the 13 left that will air in 2011.

This information came from Vulture (nymag.com). They talked with Katey Sagal (voice of Leela) on the red carpet at the DGA Awards and apparently she kinda mentioned that "Futurama just got ordered again for another season" and she added "I don't know if I'm supposed to say that yet. But it just did".

According to some sources from Vulture, 20th Century Fox TV could be talking with the voice cast to keep them compromised for more Futurama in 2012, and Comedy Central apparently is also interested in new episodes. All this information is not an official negotiation yet, but if they want new episodes for Fall or Summer of 2012, they have to close a deal in a few months in order to have time to create new episodes.

Now, I really have a good feeling about this, but I need some more official sources. If the deal is made, Comedy Central will have to announce it in a few months at max. In the meantime I'm going to find out if someone from the Voice Cast or the Writers have any information that can corroborate this.
